Springfield Missouri Makeup Artist Christine Watkins

Springfield Missouri makeup artist and model Christine Watkins and I have worked together for over 8 years. Christine excels at doing makeup for bridal, senior, engagement and fashion photography shoots. With an exceptional ability to create looks from natural beauty to avant garde artistic fashion, her work encompasses a plethora of makeup styles. Her passion for makeup is equaled by her knowledge of skincare and has professional training and a vast amount of knowledge in both fields.

Christine and I work together fluidly and have successfully completed many projects. We have shot imagery for Mica Beauty kiosk displays and back-lit posters, fashion magazine editorials, model portfolios and have done demonstrations at photography workshops.

Working together is always hysterically fun and incredibly productive. Her ability to not only compliment the model in her makeup styling but with her kind words and gentle way has helped even the most nervous model feel at ease and uniquely beautiful.

Much love dork)

Fashion Photography with Model Leah Haines

I recently had fashion photography shoot with the outstanding model Leah Haines resulting in making me feel artistically resurrected. Rarely have I been more photographically inspired. Her talent, beauty and willingness to collaborate on my ideas has been the artistic fuel I’ve needed to progress my abilities. The great Peter Lindbergh said: “It is imperative that you are inspired by your subject, and if your subject is equally inspired then all the doors are open.”

Fashion Photography shoot with Dark Beauty Gothic Girl with Flowers and Black Corset The White Queen Photos Pre-Raphaelite-Photo-ShootLeah has the ability to change her posing style to match whatever style pops into my head. I rarely pre-plan anything for a shoot and prefer to work on the fly.  Leah keeps up step to step. Among the many fashion looks we’ve done are a Pre-Raphaelite princess, a Dark Beauty Gothic Beauty Queen and The White Queen, among many other creative looks.

Upcoming Secret Project

I have a project I’ve kept under wraps. This unique venture will be announced in the spring and most likely released in the fall. Leah will have a major role in this.

It has been a distinct honor to work with this young lady. I think my fashion photography has taken a turn for the better with her presence. I could not be more grateful for these collaborations. Looking forward to many more shoots. Thank you Leah for dedication to your art!

My incredibly talented wife Dena DeMint provided makeup for most of these looks and the Leah provided the rest of the makeup looks. I put together all the styling for the looks.

Eyeworks Photography returns from Web Site Hiatus

The last couple years I’ve been busy with my regular job at the Empire District Power Plant. However, in Oct. 2016 I retired from the Company. I have spent the last couple months catching up with projects, both photography and non-photography related. Currently I am revamping the website, my studio and the artwork I wish to bring forward as I advance through new avenues of ideas.

However, that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been idle in the photography world. In 2016 I was invited to speak more at conventions, workshops and events than any previous year. This has been both a huge honor and very rewarding. These events included Shutterfest 2016, online webinars, state conventions and more. Images from Eyeworks also appeared in numerous fashion editorials this last year with more on the way in the coming months.

I look forward to sharing what I’ve been photographing the last couple years, getting back in touch with this web site and collaborating. Looking for new models, makeup artists, hair stylists, clothing designers and jewelry designers to create fashion forward images that are unique with impact. Fashion designing is one of my big goals for 2017. I’ve decided that since I can’t afford to buy Haute couture or Avant Grade designs that I will make them myself. Look for our first designs to come out in March.
